No offense meant. I have no problem with an Aero owner driving their car fast. That's the point of the car. The factory designed it that way. But driving fast can be exclusive of abuse. Does the owner dump the clutch or try for sub 5 sec. 0-60 on a transmission that cannot handle it? That's abuse. The yahoo that owned my '89 turbo convertible thought he was being quite the salesman by revving the engine and popping the clutch in an attempt to do a burnout and "show me what she'll do". People unknowingly buy these cars on the second (or third, or fourth) hand market. That's what scares me away from buying a used turbo car and what gives these cars an undeserved bad reputation. I love these cars but I'm getting more and more wary of buying them due to their low resale value. It unfortunately attracts people who will buy them cheap and abuse that great turbo power.
