I may be wrong as I understand the crankshaft bearings are at the tail end of the oil flow stream from the pump so they see the most pressure drop. But it is irrelevant as the design of the lubrication system assures every parts which needs to be lubricated gets sufficient oil pressure where the gaps between rotating surfaces are in spec. If they are not, all bets are off because larger gaps creates high pressure drops.
Your case may be the accumulated effect of pressure loss from parts down the lubrication flow stream. I doubt that. I think one specific component was wrong. But this is speculation.
