OH my goodness. I get an easy 30+ MPG at 65MPH on the highway if I drive carefully. I drive a well cared for 95 9K CS, 5 speed. I believe that driving style contributes more to fuel ecomony that any other factor, assuming all mechanicals are in good shape. Put that proverbial egg between your right foot and the gas pedal. Is it fun? Not really, but it sure saves gas.
I save my fun for surprising the occasional sporty type car by passing them on a hill, or walking away on a long straightaway (the 9000 will just keep going faster and faster if you let it). This doesn't help the gas milage much, but it's fun.
