not only in both of my owner's manuals ('96 CSE and '96 Aero), but also in the SAAB service manual 2:7 Trionic OBD II M 1996- (English size from book 0.0394" +0.00394" - 0.0" book purchased in the U.S.) AND the 2:6 DI/APC System M 1989- (spec 1.0-1.1 mm (0.39-0.043)) All specs verbatim. Another disadvantage of reduced gap is decreased longivity of spark plug usefulness. The faster build-up of carbon is the culprit. Getting back on topic, reducing gap is not conducive to better mileage.
