I understand how a clutch works. Just so I'm sure, will the input shaft be fully decoupled with the clutch pedal depressed? No layshaft gears spinning in the tran? In other words, can I start my car w/o applying any force to the trans. In my mind, this is a rhetorical question, but I want to be sure.
