like the factory one. That one replaces the tie down from under the spare tire well but does not connect to the bumper. AFAIK, there is one version that goes in with 4 bolts and another that has an extra reinforcing bar.
I have a factory hitch on my '96 CSE and have towed often with that car, several times hauling 2000+ pounds of landscaping materials for short distances. A hitch is a great thing to have. There's one on my wife's 9-5 wagon and I'm about to put one on the '96 I bought two months ago.
I disagree with Derf-- a hitch will not have any negative effect on the car. These cars are very strong and tow a trailer very well. Unless you overload it no damage will occur. It does load the rear shocks more and if you tow a lot it may shorten their life a bit, but not drastically.
