The one shown in the instruction page is just like the one I have. Both the DA'LAN and Curt names were on the hitch and/or packing. It mounts the same, and is a reasonable copy of the factory hitch. A sticker in the hitch says âDAâLAN Incorporated Hard to Find Hitchesâ.
Saab would not have provided a electrical connector for trailer lights and mounting holes with thread inserts for a hitch, if the 9000 was not suitable for towing.
A hitch can be mounted on later model hatchbacks with curved bumpers, without removing the bumper.
I was concerned about over heating in the summer, but that was not an issue, the outlet of the oil cooler never exceeded 130*F. One time I did back off on speed, (from 65-70 to 60-65 MPH) to keep it from running almost continuously in boost, when going against a 30 MPH wind with a high wind drag load of household items.
