As TML mentioned, the US 9k is rates at 2,000 lbs with trailer breaks. But get this, ex-US market cars, while being equipped identically, are rated at 1,600 kg with trailer brakes. That's a whopping 3,500 pounds!!!

Here in North America people have the feeling that you need a massive pickup or SUV to tow anything heavier than air, but elsewhere tiny 1.5l compacts plug along with huge caravans attached to them, and the 9k is considered a towing beast.

Obviously take it easy with a heavy load and use some discretion with your transmission, but the ex-US tow rating should dispel any doubt that the 9k can handle a reasonable load.
