One can 'test' the locks/actuators simply by locating the power feed connector, on Any Saab I've ever owned and grounding the appropriate actuator wire(s). Others cars as well, as supplying a ground is the typ door lock operation method, on most all cars IIRC.
Which inadvertently points back to our friend: Saab "Grounding Issues" :-)
Get wire access at the Door hinge side connector.
One needs only Ground the appropriate wire to activate the lock system for that door. Ground the other wire and it unlocks, a Simple gizmo.
Likely one could also do this at the controller plug..
Never tried that one though.
