The switch is near the back of the lock cylinder. At the very back is the linkage that connects the lock mechanically to the door's latch.
The switch snaps onto the side of the lock cylinder. Facing the lock where you insert the key, you can see a small gap between the lock barrel and the switch where you can insert a jeweler's screwdriver to lever off the switch without breaking it. Replacing the switch is just a matter of snapping it on.
In the interest of excessive information, the passenger door's switch is a model 036B made by Cherry Electrical Products Corp. The switch can't be found in their current catalog. I suppose the driver's door switch will be marked something like "Cherry 036A", but I've never seen it.
