More pressure in front than rear Posted by Bill Homer [Email] (#3427) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Bill Homer) on Sun, 11 Feb 2018 19:56:49 In Reply to: Re: Neither do mine, sam96CS [Profile/Gallery] , Sat, 10 Feb 2018 11:48:47 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I find that my 9000 gets uncomfortable if I pump the rear tires up to the same level as the front.
Many years ago I did an SCCA track driving weekend with my C900. Part of this included setting the tire pressures by putting several lines of white shoe polish on the sidewalls and seeing how much tread you were keeping on the road (vs. scrubbing off the white lines), adjusting pressures accordingly. I don't remember what the optimum pressures were, but do recall that the fronts were several PSI higher than the rears - which seems to be the norm for front wheel drive cars.
