Back on my heater II
Posted by Stephie Smith [Email] (more from Stephie Smith) on Tue, 31 Dec 2019 16:06:35
So I went out to the garage this afternoon to put my original ACC unit back in the dash. It was easy. I had watched my indie when he installed the one from his spare parts bin. OMG, guess what? My original ACC seems to work just fine now.
What did I do different? Well, I peeked at the gizmo that samples the interior air (and often gets full of dust and such and found that it was not moving. I reached in and jiggled the fan blades and they started to spin.
Was this the problem? I dunno. But the heater did work properly for much longer than it has at any time this winter. I did not have a chance to drive the car for more than an hour but that's longer than the 1/2 hour that it's been working.
So that's my next project. I will replace that little fan thingy and hope for the best..
