So, I think it's working. I took the advice of several members here and removed the "little fan thingy" from the dashboard. I had a spare one in my garage. I cleaned them both thoroughly and replaced the original with the spare. Glory be it's working. It's only been since Monday but I finally get controlled heat and it no longer switches to cold air after about 1/2 hour the way it had been doing.
Someone on this forum said that there is always something wrong. Yup! As I pulled away from my indie's parking lot this morning, I noticed a stain on the snow where I had parked. So now I have a leaky power steering problem. I can see the leak. It's just on the bottom of the reservoir where the hoses connect. And the reservoir is empty.
Is there a specific way to refill the reservoir? If I disconnect the hoses will I damage something? Any suggestions?
As I have said before, I still love my SAAB.
