Condenser Fan Wire Connector Posted by andtheHawks [Email] (#2527) [Profile/Gallery] (more from andtheHawks) on Fri, 4 Sep 2020 17:54:28 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Earlier this summer I had some A/C issues (ended up just an expansion valve replacement), and while diagnosing found that the connecter for the condenser fan had disintegrated. Something of a chicken and egg thing... as the power connection was lost, the condenser got super hot and then melted one of the two male bullet plug enough that it fits very very precariously now in the female connection from the main loom. I was going to just splice on new connection when I found that there is ZERO slack in the wire from the main loom. The condenser fan wire is comically long, but the female connection is buried down near the bottom driver side corner of the condenser.
Its a serious pain and shredded knuckles to reach. And certainly impossible for me to solder any splice to....
Anyone else have recollection of this.... Probably wouldnt be much of issue if the connector itself wasnt disintegrated, but would still be tough to connect....
Any ideas how I can get some slack there (ive even tried from under car...but maybe was brain dead at that point...)
thanks all
