Is there enough clearance to use crimp-on connectors to extend wiring out from the main loom? Is there a covering that can be cut back to free up a little slack? I haven't looked under there for quite a while. My condenser fan died a few years ago (blades shattered and motor seized up) and I haven't bothered replacing it because it's such a PITA job. I just disconnected the wiring and left it that way.
I've found the AC still works well without the fan until the outside temperature gets up to around 95 degrees on a sunny day, then cooling becomes marginal at stop lights. So it's mostly OK for this area but if I were in someplace like Texas or Florida I'd be more motivated to replace the fan.
