Interesting to note that a/c is good enough without fan.... Ive actually never really checked on the system in that configuration...
Definitely no room to crimp, and i cant for the life of me see how i might cut that wiring away from the main wrappings of the loom to get more play.... I think solution may just be how i have it, but with a new bullet on the damaged one as I do have plenty of wire length to work with on that side...maybe I just needed to write this out to figure it out :)
-- as the good bullet stays connected pretty well without the surrounding connector.. its just the melty one that doesnt...so swap that! problem solved... or I am intrigued by just letting it run no condenser fan.
But first I need to sort an insufficient cooling issue, which looks for all the world right now as an expansion valve problem (I just replaced that this Spring so dissapointed to see if fail already)
thanks for letting me know about success without fan.... makes me feel much more confident in getting a few more summers out of the car....its got 230k miles now... my goal is to daily it to 250 (2-3 more years). then I will be satisfied.
