I've been draining it by pulling the lower hose off the radiator and trying to catch all of the water. I took the reservoir off last night and washed it out several times with very hot water with a bunch of gel dishwasher detergent. It's better but the goo sticks to anything rubber really aggressively. If I get home from work tonight in time I will flush the whole coolant system with dishwasher gel and hot water, then flush, fill, repeat.
