I just bought a Saab 9000- it's in pretty good condition but the AC isn't working. My local Saab specialist says it's a leaky compressor but they can't seem to find a replacement of the same model as they all appear to be discontinued. I'm a little confused as I look around though (they said if I find one they'll happily put it in.)
The shop says I have an Sanden SD7H15 Model 7943. Looking all over these do appear to be hard to find.
I called one place and they insisted an 8052 was a fine substitute and should work- is that true? The 8052 seems to appear on newer Saab 9000s and if that works it would be great. I just don't want to buy it only to find out it won't fit or work. There seem to have been so many compressor models it starts to get a bit confusing.
My Saab is a 1995 Aero, 5CS with a 225HP B234R. Any help would be welcome- it's hot and I'd like AC.
