Hi Rociero,

Thanks for all the information.

I managed to contact a couple of suppliers and they have confirmed that my unit is a Sanden - Part No. 4319240 ( Saab No - I think )
Unfortunately its been discontinued so I am either looking for a 2nd hand unit ( not ideal for a 30 year old car ), a reconditioned unit or a compatible alternative; I will investigate the part numbers that you mentioned

I will also investigate if I can rebuild the compressor clutch.

My internet searches have mentioned the SD7H15 as an alternative but the hose configuration seems different.?

I have attached a photo of the VIN

Any help is greatly appreciated.
