I've never even seen a 9000 with rear AC, didn't know that was an option. (I assume you're talking about a complete rear AC unit with its own evaporator, blower, and expansion valve rather than just having rear vents piping cold air from the front.)
On esaabparts.com the 4071387 hose looks like the same one used on the later Sanden compressors (part #1 in the diagram):

Likewise the 4026142 bracket is what is used on those Sanden compressors (#37 in the diagram):

So it does appear that the Sanden compressors used for the last few years on the 9000 would fit. Whether it has sufficient capacity for the rear AC I have no idea. Maybe there is a domestic company that can rebuild your original AC compressor with R134a-compatible seals for a better price? A quick search came up with:

https://www.coolairparts.com/Remanufacture-Rebuild-air-conditioning-compressor-pump-AC
Bear in mind that with R134a conversion you lose about 20% of your AC's cooling capacity versus R12a.
Are all fans working when you switch the AC on? My '97 CSE, which only has front AC and factory R134a, has the same problem you describe - AC works fine into the lower 90s but fades away at idle at hotter temperatures. That's the typical symptom of a bad condenser fan and sure enough mine is not working. I actually have a replacement but it is such a pain to install I haven't bothered and just live with it. Condenser fans were not usually used on R12 systems but you may have an auxiliary fan on the radiator for the AC like the C900 and if that's not working you'd probably lose some cooling at idle.
