Hi JerseySaab,
the compressor mounts on the 4026142 bracket and the hose mounted on top is 4071387 because it has the Rear A.C.
I don´t know what a newer Sanden manifold looks like or what type hose or bracket it will fit..So I could not compare to a newer Sanden.
Since the it has a R.A.C., I always think that the compressor should be a bit bigger that the normal compressor installed in other 2.3T 9000. I´m not an A.C. mechanic but would like to find a compressor that would work good with the R.A.C.
I wrote to many Compressor company, including one you posted earlier, and they answer they don´t have any the would be compatible with R134A compressor with R.A.C. I wrote to SWIS CLIMA SA and they said they don´t have one but could overhaul one for about 650.00 Euros and another 90 Euros to ship it. I bit to $$$. Amazingly, none said to change the fitting one the 4382388, flush it good and replace the oil to use R134A Freon, wonder why.
The problem I´m having is when the car is at idle and above 95ºF, the air is not as cold like when you are driving down about 30+ MPH. When your at a Stop light or stopped in the Highway because the heavy traffic, it gets a little warm in the car. I should not due that. May if I had the correct Compressor, it would solve the problem. Any help to solve this problem and where to purchase the correct compressor, would be appreciated greatly.
