Well it is a pro parts. I've tested lots of different pro parts. Some I found absolutely nothing wrong with but I do have 4,900s and 4,9000s. So I'm obviously a little different than most I'm able to actually put a lot of these parts to use over long stretches. Obviously you can always get bad parts no matter whether they're new or not but we do have to remember we don't have really any other choice when it comes to some parts. Trust me I've always only used original equipment on all my saabs. But now we are running out of options. I think the heater control valves have been the one thing on the 900s that have given them a really bad name that is a really hard job to get done right. You really do need to take the whole heater core and the whole assembly out. And yeah I'm sure there's some other parts out there that are not that great from them. But for the most part I'm not had a whole lot of problems with them. As far as the job is concerned there is a little metal wire that goes inside that you do need to pop off of the little plastic arm you do need to be careful with that but it's not that difficult to pop that little ring off. And the wire will slide right off the biggest thing is to take a really long screwdriver very thin slide it down on both sides where the blower motor is at and pop the little tabs and then the lower part of that assembly tilts down and then it pops out of a little holder and then it slides up and out. You will have the heater hoses and all that stuff on the driver side want to get in your way I stick a Long bar down in there and hold all those backing out of the way. You take the one big screw that is on the far passenger side of the AC box and then slide that whole entire box over to the passenger side while sliding the blower to the driver side and the whole entire blower just kind of twists right out you'll probably have to move the wiring harness that is screwed in with one screw where the ECU computer is at other than that it only took me about 10 minutes to get it out and maybe 15 minutes to get it back in just being very careful two hands would be helpful so one person could pull the AC to one side but it really only moves about an inch and a half because that's all you need to get the blower out. I will let you know how the pro parts one lasts. The one that says original equipment on it that I found on eBay was $250 I just didn't want to spend $250 not knowing if it was an original part or not.
