So perhaps if it was not for the nut going loose, your work might have been lovely. At times, it is the smallest errors...
Now, your experience with the tranny, reinforces to me the caution on the pinion nut.
I'm sure if we have more experiences on the table(maybe one of us opened the little V4 tranny all the way)we will learn more.
For those who like the idea of getting our hands dirty, this is great.
I will venture into the box and share my experiences and take photos. I am simply trying to lesson the possiblities of mistakes.
