I'm helping my son get a car before he starts grad school. We want side
head protection and have been considering a 9-3,9-5,Maxima,& Millenia. We're considering 9-3's & 9-5's with about 100K mi. for $8-9K versus
certified 9-3's for $14K (which would be out of warranty 1-2 yrs. before he's finished school. Which way do you think we'd come out cheaper in the
long run? What's your best estimate of the average annual cost of maint. & repair on the 100K mi. cars? The Japanese cars cost more up front ( about $15-17K ) & are probably not quite as safe. I've been thinking about this
for a long time and getting nowhere.
Thanks,
Mike
