Wife drives an '01 9-3SE (slush), I drive an '02 Aero (real tranny).
Both will get up and go on demand in a most pleasing way. Clearly the 9-3 will benefit from a swaybar, so in stock form I feel the Aero outhandles no questions asked.
My point tho, is that I'm in a different frame of mind in the Aero. It's a more 'civilized' ride and I drive it in a more 'civilized' manner. Doesn't mean I don't jam it getting on the LIE (one of my faves is the uphill entrance ramp at exit 49 westbound, gawd it can climb!). But there's less 'testing the limits' on upstate twisties or in traffic...just wouldn't seem right to throw it around like I like to do in the 9-3.
If you want to get together for a test drive, shoot me an email offline. I'm usually available on the weekends.
