First, I'll say I have never done one on the ground but it's possible. You don't have to remove the exhaust or antthing else besides the fuel tank. Remove the vent hose(special tool), remove the hose clamps(probably rusty),loosen the retaining straps and siphon out ther gasoline(tastes bad but not as bad as diesel). Remove the straps and swing out of the way. Drop the passenger side oh the tank to about 40 degrees and detatch the 2 electrical connectors. Remove the T20 screw on the fuel line retainer and remove the fuel lines by turning them back anf forth. Be careful not to break them! Remove the tank. I use two screwdrivers crossed for leverage to remove the fuel pump retaining ring. Once out you will know for sure if the pump is Bosch or Walbro. I've not noticed a difference in performance and the Walbro is a lot less $$$. They are interchangable if you have an old Walbro unit for parts. Be sure to replace the large o-ring and the 4 small orings. It's probably 2 or 3 miserable hours in the air and I wouldn't do one on the ground. Find an Indy that specializes in Saabs.
