There is definitely no special tool for the vent line on the '94. It looks like you have a '96. I think you'll be safe but can't guarantee. I don't recall ever seeing anything about this when I read a dozen or so fuel pump posts in the archives.

How full is your tank? Will that work? My tank was about 40% full. I siphoned out about 7 of the 8 or so gallons in it after I disconnected the fuel filler tube. (Couldn't sipon successfully until getting direct access via this tube hole.) Also, when you drop the tank, I supported it with a jack (as Haynes and the SAAB service manual suggest). You can probably skip that IF it is empty.
> ... disconnect the electrical lines
Tip: Flip up the rear seat, find the access hole in the carpet, remove the plastic plug (gently--I broke mine, it was cold). Then rummage around til you find the wires and disconnect, saving you any concern before dropping the tank.
> The fuel lines at the tank just wiggle/twist and pull, eh?
Yes, but as I said earlier, there is a 90-degree bend and this is held in place by a plastic tab on the pump. GENTLY bend the tab and then wiggle/twist and pull. I had to pull a little harder than expected. I didn't bend the tab gently enough and broke it. (Again, could be a problem if cold.) Breaking that tab is fine if you are going to replace the whole assembly but fatal if you plan to disassemble the pump and replace the insert only (as RTSDan was suggesting).
