I went with a 2001 Viggen because it had traction control. It's a great feature to have if you plan to drive in the winter. It is more than just throttle control, it actually grabs the slipping wheel with the brakes so you can keep applying power. It works in all gears at all speeds.
In stock form, the Viggen rides great on 16" wheels and winter tires but is very harsh with 17" wheels and ultra-high performance summer tires. I just recently plus-sized my 17" tires to 225 and the loss of cornering is noticeable. Not as bad as the winter tires, but the point is you will trade ride confort for control. If you redo the suspension with the latest upgraded components, you may be able to have the best of both...
