How far below normal does it fluctuate?

There's various programing options for the temp gauge via techII, basically
increases the sensitivity of the gauge, not sure how much normal fluctuation is typical on the sensitive setting, so how yours is set may make a difference determining how poorly your t-stat is reacting.
My gauge is set = dumb, with a faulty t-stat (wouldn't completely close)
the gauge still read cool (7:30- 8:00) when temps 40F or below tho I would get heat no problem.
Of course it's good economy to swap the t-stat when the coolant changed.
I'd have an indy check techII settings AND change the stat if it's too miserable to do so, might be OK but ....
