Let me see if I understand this. You're driving in deep snow and get the rumbling. That seems pretty simple--odds are the snow might have broken or knocked loose something in the exhaustn system. That could be the flex pipe you had fixed or something competely different. So you take it to a Saab specialist and he says take it back to the flexpipe guy? Is the flexpipe guy a Saab specialist or is it a mufler shop? Is the flexpipe guy the one who diagnosed the blown seals or is it the Saab specialist? Because I have to tell you I've been on this board for a lot of years and I NEVER heard of a case of a Saab with blown seals in the manner you descibe. Typically they would start leaking and you'd have puddles of oil in your driveway long before it got to where you'd loose all oil pressure and ruin the engine. If the flexpipe guys are the ones telling you this I'd get it to a Saab specialist for a second opinion. The engine quiting could be any number of things, but blown oil seals sounds pretty fishy to me.
