i have to agree - that model rarely looses seals like that -
if the guy that did the exhaust caused a plug in the exhaust that then ruptured (you heard it growl) then they may have in fact killed the engine, especially if they don't have any real Saab experience -
what you need is an accurate assessment of the current issue, including oil pressure to confirm if it's a problem. Leaking oil doesn't cause an engine to stall without the oil light and a whole lot of heat showing on the dash!!! (possible smoke under the hood as well from friction burning)
more likely is an intake or exhaust problem that kills the engine while idling because the computer can't compensate for the air flow problem.
Get someone on this list to take a look at it (buy them lunch?) and get a real idea of what is wrong, then go from there!
