What is the best way to 100% diagnose the oil source is the rear main seal. I have removed the converter cover plate and cannot see much at all up that galley. I do have and have had a oil light sweat on the corner of the head gasket that is at the distributor hole but the oil that is hanging from the oil pan bolts is too much to be coming from there. It is not even a glistening sweat. The last thing I want to do is pull a trany then a flywheel and look at a dry seal. I thought the long swab might allow me to get between the flywheel and the engine above the oil pan to swipe an area to see if it comes back oily. Any diagnosis aids would be very much appreciated to stop me from pulling it all down to find it was not it. I have checked out my entire PVC system to make sure I have no restrictions causing a pressurized crankcase from pushing it out the weakest seal. Thank you.
