Old system were good before they tried to clean up emissions on old design engines and I personally believe that is when they messed it all up. If you look at my Saab you wonder why they even put that little 5/32 line on their with the 1/4" or better line leading to the intake but I am sure there is a reason and I discovered part of it. I am not about to say I do not have a rear mail leak any longer(200K on that seal is a long time) but I do not have the leak I had and it is not an immediate issue. Out of curiosity what does a rear seal job labor run in your shop? I called my Saab master tech for a price but they never got back with me and I did not call back (they must be busy).

On another note is the oil capacity on these cars. It says 4 quarts in the manual but that puts my car between add and Full. I like my car to read full and I usually put around 4.4 to top off the line, never have to add a drop between changes. I have wondered if this practice could contribute to crankshaft seal leaks and also does everyone else's car read as mine does with 4 quarts with filter change.
