DIC cassette replacement is about the easiest thing you could do mechanically yourself on the car...
You CAN have both air in your face or at your feet together (please please please read the user manual). You just need to press both buttons at the same time.
Yes, it's a low car, but it requires a responsible driver. No, it's not as practical as the SE (well, it is for me but I'm hugely responsible with every aspect of it).
It is a Viggen, so everything is higher performance. If you want a smoother ride, get the SE. You could always install 16 inch rims with Michelin tires (for ride comfort).
I'm not sure what to tell you other than, you should have probably got the 9-3 SE, more akin to your 900S. It is an amazing car, and like all Saabs, requires lots of TLC. If you aren't prepared to give it that, then I'm afraid it's not the car for your. And as far as fluid types....the Viggen is no different. All Saabs require 'special' fluids....that is of course, if you want to use those.
