Topped off with 50/50 coolant. No moisture from the firewall-attached "elephant trunk" that dumps coolant when the heater core fails.
Ran the car, mostly idling for about 15 minutes.
For the first 10 minutes, the radiator fan cycled on and off, in a weird way. It was on for 5-seconds, then off for 20. Repeat.
After 10 minutes, the coolant reservoir began to bubble. Also, the radiator fan ceased to come on at all.
The gauge never showed an overheat condition. No SID messages. Yesterday the SID did say "Low Coolant Level" after it had dumped half a gallon.
Any ideas? I'm suspicious that the temp sensor is faulty, sending bad data to the radiator fan.
Where is the temp sensor?
