Thanks a ton for your thoughts. The turbo spools into the yellow by 3k in neutral. It sounds perfectly awesome, it's a shame this happened right before I dropped a Stage 1 chip in... When I had the car on the highway a few days before the failure, I was consistently able to push the boost gauge well into the red. I only recently acquired the vehicle, and before we'd tightened one of the hose clamps on the intercooler hose it wouldn't boost past mid-yellow, so boost issues were the first thing I tried to nail down. Would the engine sound choked if the cat was bad? No engine codes show up, which I'm guessing would be likely if I had cat or BPC issues?
