???. My 9000T had boost after this problem developed, but not into the red. The leak in the rubber intake fitting at the throttle body didn't open up until there was boost into the upper yellow. So the car was still fast, just not as fast. It wasn't like I didn't work on it. I went through a bunch of different things - the MAP, the rest of the intake system, the ECU, tried a different DIC, inspected the turbo and wastegate. I certainly wanted that exceptional performance back that the car had when I bought it at 110K miles (this defect occurred at about 180K miles). But it still had pretty good boost. I was also busy running a small business and raising kids, so I couldn't work on it every weekend. But I think I did pretty well, certainly better than you're insinuating. In the end, the tear in the back of the fitting was so clean that you couldn't see it until you took it off and started pushing from the inside. Then the gap opened up - more a curved slit, rather. You couldn't feel it from the outside.
So I was offering this as something that might escape detection, requiring removal of the part to check it.
