Temp gauge is completely useless when it comes to high and low speed fan activation.
You need a scan tool where you can read actual engine temp when the low speed relay clicks on.
Temp gauge is computer controlled and they have placed high and low parameters in its data so that between this and that temp, the gauge is dead center. So even above boiling point when high speed normally kicks in, the gauge is still in the center.
So maybe there is not problem at all???
And maybe the A/C switch on receiver dryer in funky and that's why the fan doesn't kick in with A/C.
