several times. There are many whoI learned the hard way...I don't care what the Mobil 1 website says regarding this...my 94SE only began leaking oil days after switching to M1 at 100k. I did this again with my bone dry, leak free 00 9-3 SE at 46k, thinking this was not too many miles to create a leak, but only DAYS after changing to M1 synthetic did the damn thing start to leak. RATS! In my book, this is no coincidence.
I learned the hard way...not once, but twice! The only car I would ever put this stuff in again would be a new one from day one. Sure, the synth provides better protection and less gunk, but I am tired of cardboard on the garage floor and the stink of burning oil dripping on my catalytic converter at red lights. All I can do is share my experiences and let other folks know there is a real risk of developing leaks.
