I had the Avid V4's on my 9-3 before I sold it earlier this year. I also run the Avid H4's on my integra. I really like this tire as it provides predictable feedback in just about any condition. I use the Avid's on the Integra year round (upstate NY) and they are certainly competent in the snow (as long as you have more than 1/3 of the tread left). I switched to winter tires in the Saab. Tread life with the V4's on the 9-3 was noticably lower and before I sold the car, I projected that I could get approximately 20K miles to 25K before I needed to replace them (constrast that with almost 40K on the Integra). The Integra is a lighter car and is easier on tires in general.
When it's time for new tires on our 9-5 wagon, it's quite likely I will look at the Avid series again.
