As I was taking off my NRW's a while back, I noticed that one of them has a huge bulge/bubble in the sidewall. I contacted my shop (who got them through Greer Ent.), and was told that once you have used up 1/4 of the treadwear on this tire, there's no warranty whatsoever, and you're stuck buying a whole new tire.
Is this common with Nokian tires (the bubble)? And if there's no warranty against defects such as this, why on earth should I buy a Nokian tire? Don't get me wrong, I love the tires, but they were the second most expensive set of tires I've ever purchased. To see such a glaring defect, one which I have only ever seen once in several dozen other tires from just about every other manufacturer, does not instill confidence.
Have I just been misinformed, and there is something I can do about this other than shell out another $100 for a new tire?
