Well I can give you some general pointers...
My Aero came with a set of Conti SportContacts. I've had some other experiences with Conti tires (used to work at a German repair shop, put a lot of 'em on Mercedes and BMW's), and these are no different - noise level seems average, quality is very good, but they seem to use fairly hard compounds resulting in less-than-wonderful traction, especially in the dry.
I also have a set of SP5000's and they stick a whole lot better. Noise seems the same or slightly less. Ride is actually a little softer, but it's not a fair comparison since the Conti's are 16" and the Dunlops are 15" so have a higher sidewall.
Had a set of Yokohama A509's on my C900 and loved them, especially for the price. But when I replaced the car with a 9000 and put them on, and started making a few long trips (MA to FL and back) they quickly started having tread-separation problems. So it seems that they don't tolerate hard conditions well.
I think one reason the Tire Rack reviews tend to vary is that AFAIK they lump all the reviews for differently speed-rated tires together. My Dunlops are Z-rated, and the V- or H-rated ones may be quite different.
On the whole, I'd definitely buy the 5000's again, probably not the Contis, and definitely not the Yokohamas. For some background, I live in FL so performance in snow is not a consideration for me (although rain is), and my primary focus is definitely on performance. Quality (how round/well balanced they are, and how they hold up in the heat) is second, with noise/ride third. Treadwear is what I care about the least, within reason!
