I don't think it is anything particular to Saab Dealers. I could go on and on about the BS I went through on a new Ford some years back.
As some have noted already - it isn't the brand of car but the brand of Service people. It never ceases to amaze me the 'Customer Service' BS that goes on - no matter what they say it comes down to the guy you deal with. He/She can make/break the whole deal.
I must admit the BEST expereince I had was at a Honda dealer here in OR. They did everything they said they would and it was done when they said it would be. Inside write up area (nice when it's pouring rain), clean area, genuinely nice people.
