Hey Kevin,

3) No, but if I were going to switch today, I'd definitely use Auto-Rx before using any other flush or running short change intervals. Read up at the link below. (I've bought some & am planning on using it just before my next oil change.)
4) Definitely. I switched my '90 900 (base model) at 120k miles & never looked back. I didn't use a cleaner & went directly from 3k mi changes to 10k mi changes. This was over 40k mi/4 yrs ago. 10k mi changes are great!
5) The current ACDelco over-sized recommendation is the PF13, or PureOne PL-14670. I'm using both of these on my '90, but once I run out of UK-made PF13s I'll probably just use PureOnes. (I've heard the UK-made Napa Silvers are the same UK-ACD filters, but I haven't checked it out myself.)

The only over-the-counter syn I'd use is Mobil 1, as the quality vs cost of their product seems to be far beyond the other OTC products. For a non-turbo (is the S a turbo?? shouldn't I know this??), 10W-30 should be fine for a minimum of 10k miles. I've been using M1 15W-50 for the past 10+ months in mine without any problems, but with my sub-freezing winters I'll probably go with something that has a lower cold-end (5W-40?) next time. With a turbo, I wouldn't go any thinner than M1 0W-40, & if your winters never got below freezing I'd only use 15W-50.
