Last winter on my way to California from British Columbia....I was heading in the passing lane doing 75-80 or so close to Eugene OR. Average traffic, 11PM at night. As I was humming along....I had problems with a tailgater. As many saabers I deal with the tailgater with the good old drop it in 4th, boost to 20psi trick.
Within seconds from going 75 or so, I was goin 100, as I tried to get him off my rear and pass a few vehicle to get back in the right hand lane.
Well that tailgater had red and blue lights. Basically he asked me what the hell I was doing, and since it was a bit late, and I a long day, I got on the defensive and asked him why he was tailgating me so close (as his lights were blinding me), and the reason for me speeding up was to move over (well I passed a few cars in the process!). Along with that and doing the "I'm Canadian, me speek no English, What is Imperial measurment" routine, he let me off with a warning!
Quite honestly if this is what is called 'being paced', it;s a new one to me, the RCMP does not do that up here in Canada, as far as I know. Horses don;t go 100!
He was a nice enough guy.
