Scary thing is that the Aztek is a pretty decent idea implemented badly. I rented one to take the family to Universal Studios and it handled well (for something so top-heavy) and the interior was pretty useful. Of course, non of that absolves GM for the fact that it is probably the ugliest thing on four wheels, even more homely than that rolling top-hat, the Honda Element....
