I currently have a 1990 Saab 900 Turbo with navy leather interior. The car has well-over 253,000 miles, so there has been an awful lot of seat-usage over the years. The leather has stood up extremely well and feels every bit as comfortable as a new vehicle (Saab, anyway). The seats don't get excessively hot/cold, sticky, smelly, slippery, etc. Saab definitely has the leather issue figured out...well, they did in 1990, anyway. My grandparents have a 1996 Buick Roadmaster with navy leather interior, and it is worn, gets extremely hot/cold, sticky, smelly, slippery, etc. The difference between these two vehicles (in regard to the leather) is overwhelming, even with the Buick being 6 years newer. I previously owned a 1987 Saab 900S with tan cloth interior, and even though the cloth proved to be very durable, it would be quite difficult for me to stray from leather. It's just a personal preference, and we are certainly all entitled to our own opinion. I just wanted to point out the blatant difference between Saab and...well, just about everyone else. I say that as if everyone will be profoundly shocked. Just my couple of pennies. Drive safely, and KEEP ON SAABING!!!
