The body shop hasn't done an estimate yet, so the claims investigator hasn't given us any sort of estimate and therefore we havn't had the chance to discuss the deductible/potential increase insurance. So, basically no progress/update at all.
And, my girlfriend actually had to run out of town on a business trip for the rest of the week, so there won't be any further progress til next week as the car is actually in her name, so I can't personally sign off on anything, even if I am advising her as to what to do.
In case you're wondering, yes I did earlier in this thread and other threads refer to it as my car--sorry for the confusion, it's just easier that way than saying "my girlfriend's car" all the time...and I take care of all the maintenance, cleaning, etc., and do most of the driving, so it feels like my car anyway. But, it is technically in her name, so we'll have to wait til next week for any progress.
I'll keep you updated when things start happening though...and thanks again to everyone for the great advice.
