Those wear metal levels did not look extreme to me.
How many miles do you have on the beast now?
Try M1 0W40 and see if that helps with the analysis. And Purolator PureOne filters (10241) will do a better job. Cheaper too? I really do not think that W30 offers enough protection for these engines.
Turbos have higher levels of blowby. My engine oil always stinks of fuel. Depends on how much you hit boost. And don't forget that all fuels are now lower volitility, especially in the summer. So these will resist flashing off in the sump. Does your model need a modification to the PCV system. Perhaps the crankcase is not been vented properly.
You can reduce wear with a really strong magnet that pull iron and steel particles out of the oil that are too small to get trapped by full flow oil fitlers. Those particles are hard and cause further wear.
I don't agree with the no CEL, no service policy. If the wear metals were extreme, that the whole point, to catch a problem before the engine is trashed. But from a practical point of view, they do not know what to do.
Cleaning the injectors is a good idea. A fouled injector can wet the cylinder walls and that would elevate fuel in the oil and accelerate cyliner and ring wear.
If you had a 'cold' thermostat, that would make the fuel in oil issue worse. If the temp guage was low, that would CEL. You can easily test yourself for a stat that does hot close fully.
The engine is still not fully run in. Do you know what the driving service and oil history before you purchased? Rings possibley fouled? And wear metals in an engine will not go away instantly with an oil change. The bottom line would be a compression test or leakdown test.
Any Si in the oil? That would indicate an induction leak. So does high Na from road salt dust. Check for connections around the air box and MAF. And sometimes an air filter can be improperly seated, but that is often not possible in many designs. Mice like paper element filters.
All plugs look the same? One with heavier deposits might suggest a bad injector. Plug gaps ok now?
