I'm not sure I'd want to try a greater than 10,000 mile interval on a 9-3 or 9-5 (turbo), based on the sludge reports we've seen here and on BITOG! I'm a bit concerned about the fine mesh screen on the oil pickup tube, which is said to be easily clogged.
Under the right conditions, I think 10,000 miles is achievable, using a top-notch synthetic, and probably a filter change at the halfway mark. I wonder how long those SAAB filters are good for? Greg, you should dissect your filters after the Auto-Rx, it's very interesting.
As for GC, I'm doing a 10,000 mile interval with it in my dad's car. But it should be cakewalk--his car has a 7-quart sump, tall gears, and no turbo! Provided that the 10K UOA looks good, the next OCI will be 15K.
cheers,
Jason ACEA A3/B3/B4-02 ;-)
